SG Tengi April 5 - Exco Modernisation of Agriculture, Natural Resources Management and Entrepreneur Development, Yaakob Sapari said 10 percent of the profit of the sale of sand throughout the year will be provided to the Committee on village development and security throughout the state.
Speaking at the Selangor State Council Information in Felda Sg Tengi Hall yesterday, he said through a more transparent governance and professionals through its state company, Universal Group Sdn Bhd, the sale of sand was increased to 500,000 metric tons with a profit of RM3.5 million month.
"This is much different during the administration of the Barisan Nasional in the state only a profit of RM2.7 million per annum.
"The sale of sand is expected to increase as we issue a license to land owned by individuals, and this year we hope to raise RM30 million. 10 per cent of our total will be allocated to the JKKK," said Yaakob.
He said the Umno-BN differs only good at making promises to the people but not fulfilled, the Selangor state governments rather than hasten a promise made in the 2008 general election manifesto.
