Wong tried on charges of submitting to the domestic financial governance Sepang District Office, K. Mohana Sunthari, form the provisions of the State Assembly Pelek River and invoices with false details for the supply of car flags 2.500 unit of RM2, 500 while the supply is not made.
He allegedly committed the offense in the division of Community Development, Sepang District Office, 10 Sept 2008
The charge is under Section 11 (c) Prevention of Corruption Act 1997 and punishable under Section 16 of the same Act which provides for a minimum of 14 days imprisonment and up to 20 years and fines of up to five times the value of the feed or RM10, 000, whichever is higher, if found guilty.
Wong who represented Abdul Hamid lawyer Imran Hadzalie however face two other fraud charges involving a check worth RM5, 000 and RM2, 500 are still at a separate trial in the Sessions Court here.
Reporters when met after the proceedings ended, Wong expressed happiness on the release and court decisions are also grateful to the attorney.
Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Mohd Abu Josiendra Monday said the prosecution will file an appeal against a court decision to release Wong today.
